2013 Latin American Experience Gala

The Latin American Experience Gala and Auction brings together collectors, galleries, and patrons from throughout Latin America to celebrate the accomplishments of the Latin American Art Department at the Museum of Fine Arts, Houston.

This biennial event includes dinner, music, and dancing and features a live and silent auction of Latin American works of art. Proceeds from this gala benefit the Latin American Art Department at the MFAH.

This year, the gala coincides with the opening of the exhibition Antonio Berni: Juanito and Ramona, the first major international exhibition to offer a comprehensive view of the Argentinean master's groundbreaking achievements in the media of assemblage and printmaking. The exhibition focuses on Juanito Laguna and Ramona Montiel, two fictitious characters around which Berni made his most radical and creative work from the 1950s through the 1970s.
The 2013 event chairs are Eugenia and Eduardo Grüneisen, with honorary chair Nelly Arrieta de Blaquier, and gala advisors Sofia Adrogué and Brad Bucher.
